You should check the mortgage contract. If it says you are jointly responsible then you both have to pay 5O/5O. If she is not able to then she needs to find a solution or make a case in court for why you should pay all of it - if you pay all of it you should charge her rent or offset it against any child care costs you are liable for if any.
